Internal Storage (Client & Performance)

For internal desktop and notebook upgrades, Toshiba separates its consumer drives by raw computing requirements:

  • L200 Series: Compact 2.5-inch hard drives optimized for standard laptops, external enclosures, and game consoles. They generally focus on power efficiency and slim profiles (7mm z-height).

  • P300 Series: Standard 3.5-inch desktop drives meant for daily home or office computing. They balance sequential write speeds with everyday durability.

  • X300 Series: High-performance 3.5-inch internal mechanical drives running at a fast 7,200 RPM with massive cache buffers. They target graphic designers, content creators, and heavy PC gamers, with storage options capacity scaling up to 20 TB.

Network & Specialized Monitoring (N300 & S300)

Toshiba designs specialized internal hardware equipped with unique algorithms to survive relentless, multi-bay read/write environments.

  • N300 / N300 Pro: Network-Attached Storage (NAS) servers up to 24 bays.

  • S300 / S300 AI: DVR, NVR, and multi-stream commercial CCTV systems.

Enterprise Capacity (MG & AL Series)

Built for tier-1 IT infrastructure, enterprise application servers, and corporate cloud arrays.

  • AL Series: Mission-critical enterprise performance line utilizing fast 10,000 RPM or 15,000 RPM spindle speeds over low-latency enterprise SAS interfaces.

  • MG Series: Cloud-scale capacity series utilizing Flux Control Microwave-Assisted Magnetic Recording (FC-MAMR) to achieve hyper-dense enterprise configurations. These drives are currently sampling up to 30–34 TB using advanced 12-disk stacking configurations on glass substrates for strict enterprise stability.
